Doctoral Student Management Association

The Doctoral Student Management Association, or DSMA, is the representative body of the doctoral students of the College of Business Administration. Each Doctoral Candidate in the College of Business at Kent State University is automatically a member of DSMA.

The goal of the DSMA is to advance the career goals of its members. We attempt to meet this goal by serving as an advocate for individuals and groups of students, by holding forums on professional development and other relevant topics, and by fostering networking through social activities. A recent addition to our agenda is to attempt to encourage joint student/faculty research projects.

Elections of the DSMA officers take place during the last meeting of the spring semester. Current officers are:

  • President - Rick Goeke
  • Vice President - Jill Young
  • Secretary/Treasurer - Patti Meglich-Sespico
  • GSS Reps - Guillaume Sarthou and David Zhu
  • Social Committee Chair - John Morris
  • PhD Subcommittee Reps - Karin Petruska and Jun Ma
  • Graduate SubCommittee Rep - Bing Yu

Meeting Schedule
