International Business Experience
The Graduate School of Management, in cooperation with the Center for International and Comparative Programs, offers graduate students the opportunity to receive course credit for a two week International Business Experience (IBE) at Kent's campus in Geneva, Switzerland. Students have the opportunity to travel abroad and visit international businesses. The IBE enables students to learn about international businesses and to experience cultural differences which helps develop leadership and managerial skills.
The IBE takes place during Kent's Intersession, May - June. While in Geneva, students stay at the John Knox Center, a conference facility at Kent's Geneva campus. Planned activities include regular class meetings, touring businesses and sightseeing in Geneva and France. The course is available for three credit hours, and requires preparation of a paper for course credit. All graduate students at Kent, as well as other area schools may participate in the program.
The cost for the IBE is approximately $2,000 plus tuition and airfare. The Graduate School of Management will offer tuition waivers for students currently enrolled with graduate assistantships, as well as scholarships.
