Biography:

Frederick Schroath, held various positions in the insurance industry and with the Florida Department of Insurance before entering academia. He joined Kent's faculty in 1985 after completing his Ph.D. in international business at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Schroath's recent research has focused on international insurance operations, techniques of foreign market entry and the property and liability underwriting cycle.

Dr. Schroath has published in The Journal of International Business Studies, The Journal of Risk and Insurance, the Journal of Insurance Issues and The Geneva Papers on Risk and Insurance. He has been principle investigator or co-principle investigator on grants from the United States Information Agency and the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural affairs. He served as Acting Associate Dean for the College of Business Administration and as Associate Dean for the Graduate School of Management.
