Biography:
David Altig currently serves as the Vice President and Associate Director of Research for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, the Associate Director for the Research Department and Central Bank Institute and the Unit Head of the Monetary and Macroeconomics Unit. Previously, he was the 2004 Alternate Associate Economist to the Federal Open Market Committee and served as the Chair of the Bank Management Committee from 1997 to 1999. Dr. Altig’s academic experience includes lecturer and assistant professor positions at Carlson School of Management, Duke University, CaseWestern, University of Iowa, and Indiana University. He is currently an Adjunct Professor for Kent State University and the University of Chicago. In addition to these positions, Dr. David Altig has been published in numerous Journals and Reviews and has won multiple awards for his outstanding teaching throughout his career.
