Program Costs: Tuition and Fees
The tuition and fees for the MSFE degree program as of the Fall of 2009 are:
- $22,023 for Ohio residents or
- $32,913 for non-Ohio residents
The above include the $2,700/semester MSFE Program Fee.
Note: Tuition and Fees for students participating in the Xiamen University/Kent State University MSFE Program Tuition and Fees for students in this program are established under separate agreement. Students in this program should consult Xiamen University for further details.
All tuition fees must be paid to the Bursar's office by the first day of classes. You may pay online with a credit card', or pay fees in person. If you preregister for classes, fees will be due sooner. Check the Bursars office website for payment deadlines.

Kent State University offers residence hall facilities for graduate students. The university also maintains apartments for students who have families. Both types of housing are located on campus.

If you are interested in information about off-campus housing, the Commuter and Off-Campus Student Organization (COSO) can provide you with useful information. Students may pick up a free copy of their Resource Guide in their office on the 1st floor of the Student Center, to the left of the Bookstore.
COSO has information regarding apartment listings and other commuter concerns. Their website contains useful information such as where the nearest laundromat, bank or grocery store is located.
