THE FINANCIAL ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE
AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY
The College of Business Administration and the Master of Science in Financial Engineering Program are committed to innovation in the academic program. Since it's inception in 2002, the MSFE Program has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to the success of its students and graduates. This commitment extends well beyond the student's time and at Kent State University and includes career opportunities following graduation. The program's emphasis on both practice and theory provides students with the background needed to enter the marketplace qualified for a responsible position.
Although for some students the decision to enter the program is a continuation of predetermined academic plan, the faculty appreciate that many prospective students are attracted to the program only after having entered the workforce. For these "delayed entry students," the faculty offer pre-program refresher courses to hone skills and ensure all students have the academic background needed to succeed in the program.
The program maintains a team-based culture that creates a learning environment in which all students are active participants. To supplement the formal class work and practical activities, the high faculty to student ratio provides students with direct yet informal access to faculty as needed.
For prospective students seeking a career in Financial Engineering-related areas, we encourage you to look under the covers of the MSFE Program to appreciate the value, professionalism, academic quality, networking opportunities and commitment to student success the MSFE program offers.
