The keys to a successful career in business are mentors and advisors. The COBA team of advisors will do everything from helping you determine a major to directing you to COBA resources for employment and scholarship opportunities. You are required to meet with advisors once per semester.

International students have a special advisory staff that recognizes the intricacy of getting a degree in another country. You’re required to meet with advisors once per semester. Additional meetings are recommended to keep your collegiate career on track.

Discover student organizations that make your résumé stand above the rest. Visit the Peer Involvement Advising Center to talk with an advisor about what groups will best bolster your résumé. Additionally, visit the COBA list of student organizations to find business-specific groups or the Kent State University student organization list to see every on-campus student organization.
The College of Business Administration is the only college at Kent State University to have a satellite office of the university’s Career Services Center. All COBA students are required to own a laptop. These laptops must meet certain technology requirements. For more information, view the 2015 Freshman Technology Requirement page.
