Entrepreneurship Education Consortium
The Entrepreneurship Education Consortium is hosting its second annual Entrepreneurship Immersion Week, August 10-15, 2008. This week-long entrepreneurship academy gives students an excellent opportunity to:
- Network with prominent local entrepreneurs
- Create a group business concept and compete against seven other northeast Ohio universities
- The opportunity to win an award package with cash and gifts-in-kind for the best concept
- Attend academic sessions on topics such as developing a business idea, exploring innovation, etc.
- Immersion experience is free ? tuition, room & board, admission fees, and textbooks will be covered and provided
The 2007 Summer Immersion Week was a successful event with seven universities participating. The five students from Kent State University did a great job and took ?Honorable Mention? in the competition. The overall winner from the competition was a group from Case Western Reserve University. These students are launching their business in May 2008 with the help from the competition prizes and networking they established at the Immersion Week.
