We are home to the Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation, which continues to launch student businesses each year into the Northeast Ohio entrepreneurial ecosystem to grow our region’s economy. The Global Management Center’s partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service has forged an US Export Assistance Center located in the College to enhance export outreach to Northeast Ohio businesses and give business students global business experience. The Center for Information Systems brings state-of-the-art technology into our classrooms and supports initiatives such as The Tech Spot to provide technology services to the Kent campus.
From new business start-ups to discoveries about the impact of diversity on corporate boards our pioneering faculty members are training the next generation of business leaders, while creating new knowledge to help today’s businesses excel.

The National Advisory Board is made up of prominent College of Business Administration alumni throughout the country. The board provides an external point of view that provides COBA with vital resources to connect with important external constituencies for information, financial support, expertise and information.
Pratim Datta is an Associate Professor of MIS and Global Supply Chains. He has over 55 publications in journals and conferences with more than three best papers featured in in top international meetings. Dr. Datta has over seven patent applications in the areas of biometrics authentication, military solutions, electronic voting and green recycling.
We are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in business and accounting – an accreditation earned by fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide. Plus we have been ranked as one of the best colleges in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Our MBA programs have been rated by Princeton Review as a best business school and our Executive MBA programs are ranked 12th in North America by CEO magazine.
The 2015 Spirit of Women in Business Conference will take place on March 4. The annual conference is held to enhance professional development of today’s and tomorrow’s businesswoman from the executive to the student. With highly accomplished keynote speakers and multiple workshops, the conference provides networking and instructional opportunities that empower and encourage advancement in the workplace.

C. Lockwood Reynolds is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics. His teaching and research interests are in microeconomics, labor economics, public economics and the economics of education. He had been recognized with more than ten research and teaching awards.
